QuitDots Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

QuitDots is a calm, offline quit tracker. It is built so that everything you record stays on your device. What you are quitting, how each day went, and any note you write are sensitive by nature, so this is the whole design, not a setting. This policy explains, plainly, what that means.

The short version

What the app stores, and where

Your quits, your daily check-ins, any private notes you add to a day, and your settings are stored only in QuitDots' private storage on your device. They are never sent anywhere. They leave your device only if you back up your device yourself through your own tools, or when you uninstall the app, at which point they are removed.

What the app does not collect

QuitDots does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any other personal information. It does not know, and cannot report, what you are quitting or how it is going. The app's own code makes no network requests. The only network use is Google Play handling the optional purchase, described below.

The optional one-time purchase

QuitDots offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, QuitDots Plus. If you choose to buy it, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. QuitDots never sees your payment details. The app stores only a single private flag on your device recording that Plus was unlocked. Google's handling of the transaction is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you turn on the optional daily reminder, QuitDots schedules a local notification on your device. This uses no network and sends nothing off the device. You can turn it off at any time in the app or in your system settings.

Not a medical service

QuitDots is a private tracking tool. It is not a medical or addiction-treatment service and does not provide advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are working on quitting, real people can help: a local quitline, your clinician, or a recovery program.

Children

QuitDots does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new date above. Any change that would affect data handling would be described here before it took effect.
