Tangle to one line

Looplet has no account, no sign-up and no server. Your results, your streak and your settings stay on your phone.
We never receive anything about you. The only data that leaves the device is what Google's advertising SDK collects to show ads in the free version, and that data contains nothing you did in the app beyond seeing an ad. Looplet Pro removes the ads, and with them that data.
Everything Looplet remembers is kept in the app's private storage on your device:
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else by the app. The app itself makes no network request of its own. Every puzzle is made on your phone, so the puzzles need no internet at all.
Looplet lets Android's built-in backup include its settings file, so your results, streak and settings come back when you move to a new phone with your Google account. This backup is made by your phone, stored in your own Google account, and end-to-end encrypted with your screen lock; it is not a server of ours and we cannot read it. You can turn it off for all apps in your phone's settings, under Google, then Backup.
When you tap Share, Looplet writes a few lines of text on your phone (the puzzle's number and board, your taps against par, your stars and streak, and the puzzle's code) and opens Android's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send it, for example to a WhatsApp chat. Once you share it, that app's own privacy policy applies.
To play a friend's puzzle, you paste their code into Looplet. The code is read on your phone to build the same puzzle; nothing is looked up or sent anywhere.
Looplet does not need permission to read your photos, files or contacts for either.
The free version shows an occasional full-screen ad, only at a break after you solve a puzzle: when you go on to the next puzzle or leave the result, or when a Timed sprint ends. There is never an ad while you play, when the app opens, or on your first day with the app. Ads are at least three solved puzzles and three minutes apart. If no ad is ready, you go straight on.
Ads are served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. The app asks for ads suitable for a general audience (rated G) only, and passes nothing about your puzzles or your use of the app to the ads SDK. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the SDK collects and sends to Google:
This data goes to Google, not to us, and is handled under Google's Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Consent. Where the law requires it, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent using Google's consent message, after the first lessons and before any ad is requested. You can change your choice later from Settings, under "Privacy choices".
Your controls. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone's settings, under Google, then Ads.
| Permission | Why | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Internet and network state | Ads in the free version, and Google Play Billing for Pro. The app makes no request of its own | Silent |
| Advertising ID | Used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the free version | Free version |
| Ad services (Android's Privacy Sandbox) | Added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, for Android's own ad measurement and topics | Free version |
| Billing | The optional one-time Pro purchase | Silent |
| Wake lock and foreground service | Added by Google's ads library for its own background tasks | Silent |
Looplet never asks you for a permission. It keeps the screen on while a puzzle is open, which needs no permission. It sends no notifications, does not start when your phone starts, and does not ask for camera, storage, photo library, location, contacts, microphone, phone or SMS permission.
Looplet is free to download. Looplet Pro is one optional payment, not a subscription. It removes the ads and opens four more Journey chapters, every past daily puzzle back to the first, as many hints as you like, and three more floors and the Festival colours.
Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or UPI details, billing address or any part of the transaction. The app keeps only the yes-or-no flag that you have Pro. Google Play's privacy policy covers the payment itself.
There is nothing to request from us, because we hold nothing. Your Pro purchase is recorded by Google Play, so reinstalling does not lose it: use Restore a purchase on the Looplet Pro screen.
Looplet is a logic puzzle made for teenagers and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and the app itself collects no personal information from anyone. Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience.
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date, and a material change will be noted in the app's release notes. If Looplet ever gained a feature that sent more data anywhere, it would be described here plainly before the feature shipped.
