Privacy Policy

Function Budget — Every rupee out. Every gift in.

Effective Date: September 4, 2026

Last Updated: September 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Function Budget mobile application (package com.futigo.functionbudget) handles your information.

Key Point: Function Budget keeps everything on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any server. There is no account, no sign-in and no cloud sync. We cannot see what you record, because it never reaches us.

1. Information You Enter

Everything below is entered by you and stored only on your device:

Data Type Description Purpose
Functions Name, occasion type, date, venue, guest count, budget Group everything under one event
Expenses Amount, date, category, sub-event, payment mode, notes Track money spent
Vendors Name, service category, quoted amount, advance, balance, due date Track what is still owed and to whom
People and guests Names, place, relationship, side of the family Identify who gave or received a gift
Gifts received and given Amount or item, gift type, envelope number, sub-event, date The gift register and the reciprocity history
Contributions Contributor, amount, date Track money contributed by family
Preferences Language, theme, reminder settings, Pro status Remember how you like the app set up

1.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

Function Budget does NOT collect, request or access:

Names you enter for guests and vendors are typed by you. The app never reads your phone's contacts.

2. How Your Information Is Used

Your entries are used only to run the features you are using:

Important: Your data is never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, model training, or any purpose beyond the app's own features. All processing happens on your device.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your data is stored in a SQLite database inside the app's private directory, with preferences in Android's app-private storage. This means:

3.2 What We Do Not Claim

So that you can judge the risk accurately:

A gift register names real people and the amounts they gave. Treat an exported file with the same care you would give the paper notebook it replaces.

3.3 Your Responsibility

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not share, sell, rent or trade your information, because we never receive it. Data leaves your device only when:

Third-Party Services

The app includes no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting services. The only third-party service is Google Play Billing, used solely to process the one-time Function Budget Pro purchase and to restore it if you reinstall. Google receives the purchase transaction; it receives none of your ledger data. That exchange is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

This is why the app declares the INTERNET permission. Nothing else in Function Budget makes a network request.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Right How to Exercise
Access your data View everything directly in the app
Export your data Print & share — gift register (PDF), function report (PDF), spreadsheet (XLSX)
Modify your data Edit any function, expense, vendor, person, gift or contribution
Delete your data Delete individual entries in the app, or uninstall to remove everything
Back up and restore Create a JSON backup and restore it on another device
Withdraw consent Uninstall the app. All app data is removed with it

We cannot action a data request on your behalf, because we hold nothing to action. Every control above is in your hands on the device.

6. Permissions

Function Budget declares the following permissions:

Permission Purpose Required?
Internet Google Play Billing only, for the one-time Pro purchase Purchase only
Billing Process and restore the Pro purchase Purchase only
Network state Checks connectivity before a purchase. Requested by the billing library, not by app code Purchase only
Notifications Vendor payment reminders. Asked for at runtime, and only once you have a reminder to schedule Optional
Run at startup Restores your scheduled reminders after the device restarts Optional
Vibrate Alerts you to a payment reminder Optional

The app does not request camera, storage, contacts, location, exact alarms or background service permissions. Decline notifications and every other feature still works — you simply will not be reminded about vendor balances.

7. Purchases

Function Budget Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details at any point. Refunds are handled by Google Play under their refund policy. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, restoring the purchase is done through your Google account.

8. Information About Other People

A gift register necessarily records other people — guests, relatives and vendors, along with what they gave. That information stays on your device under your control, and you are the one who decides whether to export or share it. Please handle it with the discretion those people would expect.

9. Children's Privacy

Function Budget is a financial application intended for users aged 18 and above. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because the app collects nothing.

10. Data Retention

Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall Function Budget:

There is no cloud copy. Uninstalling without a backup is permanent.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date, and a material change will be noted in the app's release notes. Changes take effect when posted.

Summary

In simple terms: Function Budget stores everything on your phone and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no cloud and no tracking, and the only network use is the Play Store purchase. You can export, back up or delete your data at any time. The flip side is that we cannot recover it for you — so keep a backup.
