FocusMath ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use our mobile application, and by whom.

Summary: Your game progress, points and the list of apps you lock stay on your device. We do not run servers and we do not receive your personal information. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which collects some device information to show and measure ads (see section 5.2). FocusMath Pro removes all ads. Purchases are handled by Google Play.

1. Information Handled by the App

1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

FocusMath stores the following information only on your device, to provide its features:

Game progress: scores, streaks, accuracy, session history, Daily Challenge results, and which practice problems you have already seen (so they don't repeat)
Focus Bank: the points you earn and spend
Apps you choose to lock: the list of apps, and the time any unlock ends
Preferences: settings such as sound, vibration and theme
Pro status: whether you own FocusMath Pro

1.2 App Usage Monitoring (Focus Mode)

To lock the apps you choose, FocusMath needs the "Usage Access" permission. This lets the app:

Detect when an app you chose to lock is opened
Show the lock screen over it until you unlock it with points

Important: App usage is checked in real time on your device only. Neither we nor anyone else receives which apps you use, how often, or your usage patterns.

1.3 Installed Apps

To let you choose which apps to lock, FocusMath reads the list of apps installed on your device, with their names and icons. This list is shown only on your device and is never sent anywhere.

1.4 Information Collected by Google for Ads

In the free version, ads are provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use information from your device, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads, to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. This information goes to Google, not to us. See section 5.2.

1.5 What We Do Not Collect

We, the developer, do not receive or store:

Your name, email address or phone number
Your location
Your contacts, call logs, photos, files or media
Your browsing history
Which apps you use or how you use them

2. Permissions We Request

Permission	Purpose
Usage Access	Detects when an app you chose to lock is opened. Processed on your device only.
Display Over Other Apps	Shows the lock screen over a locked app.
Foreground Service	Keeps the app lock running while FocusMath is in the background, with an ongoing notification.
Notifications	Shows the app lock's status notification (for example, minutes left in an unlock).
Run in Background (Ignore Battery Optimization)	Asked during setup, so Android doesn't switch the app lock off in the background.
Query Installed Apps	Lists the apps on your device, with their icons, so you can choose which to lock. Never sent anywhere.
Start at Boot	Restarts the app lock after your device restarts, if it was on.
Internet and Network State	Used only for ads (free version) and Google Play purchases. The games and the app lock work offline.
Advertising ID	Used by Google AdMob to show and measure ads in the free version. You can reset or delete it in your device's settings.
Google Play Billing	Lets you buy and restore FocusMath Pro.
Vibration	Optional haptic feedback for answers.

3. How Information Is Used

The information stored on your device is used only to:

Track your game progress and statistics
Keep your Focus Bank balance
Lock and unlock the apps you choose
Remember your settings and Pro status

4. Data Storage and Security

Data stored by FocusMath stays in the app's private storage on your device:

It is not accessible to other apps
It is deleted when you uninstall the app
Your game data, points and locked apps are never sent over the internet

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google Play Billing

If you buy FocusMath Pro, the payment is processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5.2 Google AdMob (Ads in the Free Version)

The free version of FocusMath shows full-screen ads, provided by Google AdMob, at natural breaks (for example, after finishing a round). Ads never appear while you are solving a problem, and FocusMath Pro removes all ads.

What Google may collect: your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions, used to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud.
Consent: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, FocusMath asks for your consent through Google's consent message before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time in the app: Settings → Privacy choices.
Ad content: ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
Your controls: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in your Android device's settings.

5.3 Fonts

The app's fonts are included in the app. In rare cases, if a font style isn't included, it may be downloaded once from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address for that request.

5.4 No Analytics

FocusMath does not include analytics services, crash reporting services that collect personal data, or social media SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

FocusMath is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads in the free version are limited to content suitable for general audiences. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

To delete all app data: uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android Settings
To reset your progress: use the reset option in the app's Settings screen
Advertising data: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings; data held by Google is governed by Google's Privacy Policy

We do not keep any of your data on our own servers, so there is nothing for us to delete.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are shown by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Access: view your progress in the app (Stats screen)
Deletion: uninstall the app or clear its data
Ads consent: change it in the app under Settings → Privacy choices (where available)
No ads: FocusMath Pro removes all ads
Permissions: revoke any permission at any time in Android Settings

11. Consent

By using FocusMath, you agree to this Privacy Policy. The app lock needs permissions you grant explicitly (such as Usage Access and Display Over Other Apps), and you can revoke them at any time in Android Settings.
