FocusMath ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

Summary: FocusMath works entirely offline. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

FocusMath stores the following information locally on your device to provide app functionality:

Game Progress: Scores, streaks, accuracy statistics, and session history
Focus Bank Balance: Points earned from solving problems
App Preferences: Settings such as sound preferences and theme selection
Selected Apps for Focus Mode: The list of apps you choose to lock during focus sessions

1.2 App Usage Monitoring (Focus Mode Feature)

To provide the Focus Mode functionality, FocusMath requires the "Usage Access" permission. This allows the app to:

Detect when you open an app that you have selected to lock
Display a reminder overlay encouraging you to return to FocusMath
Track which apps are currently in the foreground

Important: App usage information is processed in real-time on your device only. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any information about which apps you use, how often you use them, or your app usage patterns to any external servers.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Device identifiers
Browsing history
Contacts or call logs
Photos, files, or media
App usage history or statistics beyond real-time focus mode detection

2. Permissions We Request

FocusMath requests the following Android permissions to enable core features:

Permission	Purpose
Usage Access	Required to detect when a locked app is opened during Focus Mode. This allows us to show a reminder overlay. No usage data is stored or transmitted.
Display Over Other Apps	Required to show the Focus Mode reminder overlay when you open a locked app.
Receive Boot Completed	Optional. Allows Focus Mode to resume automatically after device restart if a session was active.
Foreground Service	Required to run the Focus Mode monitoring service while the app is in the background.
Vibration	Optional. Provides haptic feedback for correct/incorrect answers.

3. How We Use Information

All information stored by FocusMath is used solely to:

Track your game progress and statistics
Maintain your Focus Bank point balance
Enable Focus Mode app locking functionality
Remember your app preferences and settings

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage mechanisms:

Data is stored in the app's private storage directory
Data is not accessible to other apps
Data is automatically deleted if you uninstall the app
No data is transmitted over the internet

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google Play Billing

If you choose to make an in-app purchase (FocusMath Pro), the transaction is processed by Google Play. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how Google handles payment information.

5.2 No Analytics or Advertising

FocusMath does not include:

Third-party analytics services
Advertising networks
Crash reporting services that collect personal data
Social media SDKs

6. Children's Privacy

FocusMath is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, this app complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

To delete all data: Uninstall the app, or clear app data from Android Settings
To reset progress: Use the "Reset Statistics" option in the app's Settings screen

We do not retain any data on external servers, so there is no server-side data to delete.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

9. Your Rights

Since FocusMath operates entirely offline and stores data only on your device, you have complete control over your data:

Access: View your data within the app (Stats screen)
Deletion: Delete data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data
Portability: Your data is stored on your device and remains with you
