2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do not collect:

• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Any data transmitted to external servers
• Photos, contacts, or other device data

3. How We Use Information

All data processing happens entirely on your device. The information you enter is used to:

• Calculate your current caffeine levels using pharmacokinetic models
• Display personalized predictions (bedtime caffeine levels, metabolism curves)
• Track your progress toward daily limits and reduction goals
• Provide achievement notifications and streak tracking
• Generate insights and analytics about your caffeine habits

No data leaves your device. We do not have access to any of your information.

All your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by the operating system. We use Hive, an encrypted local database, to store your information.

4.2 Data Security

Since all data remains on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features (PIN, fingerprint, face unlock)
• No data is transmitted over the internet
• There are no servers that could be breached
• Your information cannot be accessed by us or any third party

4.3 Data Backup

Your app data may be included in your device's standard backup (Google Backup, etc.) if you have this feature enabled on your device. This is controlled by your device settings, not by our app.

CaffeineReset:

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can export all your data in JSON format through the app's Settings menu. This creates a local file on your device that you control.

7.3 Delete Your Data

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete individual entries: Remove specific intake logs from the history
• Clear all data: Use the "Clear All Data" option in Settings to permanently delete everything
• Uninstall the app: Removing the app will delete all associated data from your device

7.4 Modify Your Data

You can edit any intake entry, update your preferences, or modify your profile at any time within the app.

8. Children's Privacy

CaffeineReset is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. The app is designed for adults who consume caffeine and wish to track or reduce their intake.

We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since all data is stored locally and we have no access to user data, we cannot identify or remove children's data. If you believe a child is using this app, please ensure they uninstall it, which will remove all data.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
• Notify users through the app (if applicable)

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. We do not have any retention policies because we do not have access to your data.

CaffeineReset is available globally. Since all data is stored locally on your device and no data is transmitted to external servers, there are no cross-border data transfers to consider.

Regardless of your location, your data remains on your device and is subject to your local device security and backup settings.
