BodyDots is a calm, offline symptom tracker. It is built so that everything you record stays on your device. How your body is doing, day by day, and any note you write are health information, the most sensitive data there is, so this is the whole design, not a setting. This policy explains, plainly, what that means.
Your tracks, your daily check-ins, any trigger tags and private notes you add to a day, and your settings are stored only in BodyDots' private storage on your device. They are never sent anywhere. They leave your device only if you choose to save a backup file yourself (described below), or when you uninstall the app, at which point they are removed.
BodyDots can save your whole journal as a single file, and restore from one. This happens only when you ask for it, through your device's own file picker, and the file goes only where you choose to put it. The app makes no network call to do this, and it never sees or keeps a copy anywhere else. The file is yours: where you store it, and who can read it there, is under your control.
BodyDots does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any other personal information. It does not know, and cannot report, what you track or how it is going. The app's own code makes no network requests. The only network use is Google Play handling the optional purchase, described below.
BodyDots offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, BodyDots Plus. If you choose to buy it, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. BodyDots never sees your payment details. The app stores only a single private flag on your device recording that Plus was unlocked. Google's handling of the transaction is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
If you turn on the optional daily reminder, BodyDots schedules a local notification on your device. This uses no network and sends nothing off the device. You can turn it off at any time in the app or in your system settings.
BodyDots is a private journal. It is not a medical service and does not provide advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It shows you your own record so you can see your pattern and, if you choose, show it to the person helping you. For anything about your health, talk to a clinician.
BodyDots does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new date above. Any change that would affect data handling would be described here before it took effect.
